SEED CYCLING RECIPE - HE SHOU WU ZAATAR
Seed cycling is my jam.
A little ritual you can create, that at best may help with your hormonal ho hum and at worst will give you a whole bunch of life giving nutrients. Its a win/win and its also a delicious way to get natures medicine.
This blend is intended for the follicular phase which is days 1-14, when oestrogen is the dominant hormone and you are heading towards ovulation. This blend contains oestrogen modulating lignans from flaxseeds, minerals and vitamins and essential fats from pumpkin seeds. alongside stimulating but relaxing thyme and rosemary and the supreme blood builder he shou wu - high in zinc and iron to support healthy hormone production, blood nourishment and replenishment of deep energy stores.
This Zaatar tastes great and can be added into sandwiches, over dishes or just eaten as is!
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup linseeds
sprig of fresh rosemary - finely chopped
1/4 cup thyme
1 tablesoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon sumac
2 tablespoons of hot smoked paprika
3 teaspoons Misty Day Plant Potions He shou wu
2 teaspoons seasalt
Chilli flakes to taste
Put all the seeds and herbs and spices into a frypan and let heat a little until fragrant.
Eat 1-2 tablespoons each day from day 1-14 of your cycle
If you are not menstruating then just start taking on the new moon.
